Supreme x COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT SS17 Collection

Supreme and COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT have uncovered a unique collaboration. With two iconic clothing labels sitting on opposite spectrums in the eyes of fashion. Both brands come together to produce a hell of a collection.

Blending high end street fashion with high end formal fashion is not something we see every day. CDG is a fashion label that started off with formal tailored menswear in the year of 1987. On the other hand Supreme NY Initialised as a skateboarding and high end street wear label which was established in April 1994. Surprisingly enough many have predicted the collaboration. To our opinion CDG and supreme share a lot of the same qualities in the fabrics and logo designs, making this collection an easy success, backed up with a whole lot of street fashion hype.

… Back to the point, both brands present the collection using vintage styling with tucked in shirts. the collection’s line up consists of the following garments:

The Glossy black fishtail parka

The Cotton gabardine suit

The Rayon Shirt

The Hooded sweatshirt

The Tee shirts (with both iconic logos)

The Wallets

The Nike Air Force 1 Low

Many of the garments contain both logos combined and placed on Supreme’s usual spots. On the other hand the shoes are the big picture. The Nike sneaker remains white with printed wording placed on both shoes. It also includes the “eyes” graphic inspired by CDG. The shoe remains Nike‘s original air force white colour apart from these minor alterations.  Overall the collection is grand.

The collaboration will release the collection at Supreme’s New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris locations, as well as its online store on April 13, Japan stores will see the release on April 15. Furthermore the collection will also be available at Dover Street Market in New York, London, Ginza, Singapore and I.T Beijing Market.
